Remembering and Learning from Martin Luther King Jr.
In Honor of Martin Luther King Day, we invite you to think of ways Dr. King made the world a better place and also importantly, ways you can, in your own way, further Dr. King's Dream. In our own way, we can be in service and help make the world a better place. What are some ways you and I help others and the world?

Martin Luther King jr. was pretty much the first black man to argue against their racial predjudice. Now look where we are in life. I can only imagine what life would be like if he had not stood up for black rights. We have some darker skinned kids in our class and w/o MLK they would probably not be able to be in our class let alone be any of our friends.
I thank and applaud his doings.

Martin Luther King jr. was a great person. I can't imagine the world with no black rights. his death was not fair. I hope he knows that his effortswere not put to waste.
Martin Luther king Jr was a very inspireing person. What he did was great. If he hadent done what he did the world would not be like it is today. He had a vison of peace in the world. He was a great leader.
I think Martin Luther King was a very admirable person. he put his life at risk for what he believed in. he made a great difference in the world. I'm glad that he did what he did becuasder if he did not there still might be slaVery today.
Martin luther king was a very peaceful person and made the world a better place for blacks and white people. One of the ways he made the world a better place by standing up and not backing down and never giving up. He had a tremendous amount of bravery to do what he did. one of the ways I can make the world is being peaceful and just like M.L.K. was.
MLK was a man who wanted freedom and peace in the world. He wanted everyone to be free and people to work together and it would not matter what color they were. Everyone would have the same chances for a good life, and it would not matter by color or boy or girl or if you looked different than others. MLK was not afraid to speak up for everyone's rights.
MLK made the world a beter place.And he wanted peace and freedom.
MLK got people rights without killing or hurting one person. He was a really good person. We can learn from MLK by having peace and not teasing people. If MLK was alive right now he might be ending wars or something good like that. If MLK was never alive than blacks would probaly be treated bad still.
What Martin Luther King meant to
Martin Luther King had a dream and he believed in it. He would go for his dream and make the world a better place. Martin Luther King believed in civil rights. He believed that black kids should be able to go to school with white kids. He believed that black people should be able to sit in the front of the bus and not have to move when white people came on the bus and that black people should be able to drive around after sundown. He believed that the protesters should be non-violent.
Martin Luther King was inspired by Gandhi's non-violence. I believe that his way of using non-violence to get civil rights is a much better way than using violence. I don't think that he could accomplish anything by fighting.
What are some ways you and I help others and the world?
WOW! I can think of many ways and most start with myself: what can I do? I think the most important thing for me to do is be kind to others and think bout how others would like to be treated.
Another thing I am working on is to be a better listener and to wait before judging others. When I meet a new person, it is easy to judge them on how they look and talk. I find if I wait to judge, I just might end with a friend.

Martin Luther King learned everything about nonviolence from Ghandi. Ghandi is a hero in India and all the world. He stood up to the English and tried to make the Hindus and Moslems agree. MLK tried to make the white people see the blacks had rights. I really care about animals and I want to help protect them by working in the humane society.
MLK was a very great person and he changed america for black and white people.
if MLK hadn't been alive the earth would not be as good as it is now.
He used nonviolent protests and i think that is a lot better the violence.

We can help the world by riding our bikes or walking or taking the bus instead of driving to reduce the pollution and stop the hole in the ozone from growing any bigger.

MLK was cool. We can be like him by being nice. He should be alive. We need peace.

MLK was a symbol of peace and freedom. It was a great loss when he was asasinated. He was very compaionate twords most everyone.
