Blender Spring Break Around the World
The Blenders are off to the four corners of the Earth during our Springbreak, March 23 until April 3. From information from the children, it looks like we will be traveling to at least 6 US states, Oregon, California, Arizona, Washington, Montana, Hawaii. Several families are traveling in Asia- to China and Japan- and another is in Germany! Others will be staying right here in the Rogue Valley. Please let us know about your travels, fun and adventures.

I might go to Texas over spring brake other wise I will go on summer brake.

Hi everyone! My mom and I are in Chino valley arizona and we are having a very fun time. When we flew into salt lake city I saw the mountains there and that was cool.
When we arrived in phoenix I saw the city and that it was a sprawling monstrousity. We stayed in a hotel that was really expensive. The next day we went to an indian museum about the hohokam people and there monuments and there lifes. That was really intresting. Then we drove to Chino valley and are staying with our friends that use to live in oregon. My mom and I are having a really fun time.
Hey Gabe! whats up? Do the people in Mowi speak english? Are you gonna try to learn to surf? I heard you can swim with dolphins there, I think you should try it Gabe! Take some pictures there and show them to the class. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii!
Hey Venus. Hows it going in Germany? Do you have relatives that your gonna see there? So is it really different in Germany or pretty much the same there as it is here? What kind of food is there and do you like it? I've always thought it would be cool to travel to a different country but the farthest I have ever traveled is L.A. :-P

Hey yall whats up blenders Im not in your class but this is cool!!!
On spring break my friend Greta is coming up with her husband Noel and her son Caiden, Were going to go to Lithia Park and climb on the new play structure and were going to go to Mihamas. So im not going to visit someone there visiting me. Greta, Noel and Caiden are going to be in Ashland on late Saterday evening then they will be here all Sunday and leave late Monday evening. I cant wait for them to come. Other then that I'm going to hang out with friends and other stuff like that.

Thursday March 27th 2007:
At noon, we left for Pleasent Hill. we had been staying nearby at our grandparents' house. We took bart to the San Francisco airport. When we got to SFO, we went to check in. We had done everything online, so all we had to do was scan some papers and... vwallah. BUT, the papers didn't fit in the scanner, so my dad thought maybe if he pulled it out a bit... Well, The whole scanner fell out and bounced around the airport floor. my dad had to fix it. It was hilarious. When we got through, we went to the food court and I got some chinese food. I also ate some of my dads chilie reillino. I eat a lot. The last two nights for dinner (not including drinks and desert) I've had: A garden burger and fries from BK (you hear later), A plate of chow mein and vegetables, one eighth of a chilie reillino, 3 enchiladas, 2 plates of beans and a basket of tortilla chips.
Back to the story. When I got on the plain, I sat next to my mom and sister. They showed the movie "Happy Feet". I had already seen it so I just listened to my iPod and slept through the flight. When we got to Maui, we got our bags and rented a chrysler sebring. (a car). After we checked into the hotel we were staying in for that night only, We went to the only resteraunt open, BK. It was 9:30 hawaii time and 12:30 PST. We then went for a walk. When we went to bed it was 11:00 hawaii time, 2:00 PST.

Hi Blenders,
I am in Japan. It is really cool. I ate octopus which was really good,(probuly because it was fried and in a really yummy sauce) meat you cooked in a really yummy broth, a waffle cake thing (it was tasty) and candy. I went to the inernational manga festivle which was really cool it had people dressed as people from Japanese shows. I got a poster, postcards, comics and flyers. When we got back to near are hotel I got a Japanese haircut which was really fun. They took a long time to cut my hair so I got to watch funny Japanese cartoons. Then they shampooed my hair and gave me a head massage. After that they blowdried my hair and gave me candy.

Well, I was not in Japan or Maui but I was skiing on Mt. Shasta. I had a lovely time! I love the mountains! I hope Gabe has fun snorkling... I love looking at fish and coral... Hope everyone is having fun... send me a picture...

Day 2
Friday March 23, 2007:
Let me put it this way... our hotel was SWEET!!! For the night we flew into Maui, my dad booked us a hotel by the airport. I thought it would be a rundown shack with rats, mosquitos and no AC. But the Maui Seaside Hotel was a cute little hotel on the water with no rats or mosquitos and a full blown AC.
After waking up at 6:45 Hawaii time, (All times from here on will be in Hawaii time, 3 hours later than Ashland). Anyway, after waking up at 6:45, I enjoyed a complementary breakfast. My dad and I talked to a reaggae band called Third World. We figured out that they had performed at the Ashland Armory twice. They were from Jamaica. Then we bought some food for the next ten days because we are staying a condo with a kitchen. Yes Robbie and Ryan F, we got bananas and potatoes but no mangos.
We packed our bags to leave for our condo and as we were checking out, we saw another Jamaican reaggae band, this one called Inner Circle. We talked to them for an hour and a half before getting in our Chrysler and driving to our condo in a town called Hanakawai. (HAH-NUH-KUH-WHY). The condo is totally awesome. It has a bedroom, kitchen and full living/dining room. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the lanai (deck) LOOKS OUT TO THE BEACH!!!! And it has a pool and a spa. It also has a little spot where you walk along a littled path through a JUNGLE! Seriously. In the jungle there is a huge rock with a waterfall and a pond complete with koi fish. All of this is next to our condo.
Well, we went exploring in the surrounding area before having homeade pizza for dinner. My mom and I went in the pool and spa before hitting the hay.

Hello Everybody.
In my last post I accidentally told you that Hawaii time is 3 hoys later. Well its actually 3 hours earlier. Excuse me for the mishap.
Day 3
Saturday March 24th, 2007:
When I woke up at 7:00, I decided to go snorkeling with my dad, so we went snorkeling. We saw sea anenamoe, tiger fish, an eel, a puffer-fish, some little black fish that had white polka-dots, some bigger fish, brain coral and a cool red plant. It was so cool.Then we went to the pool and spa. After that we came home to an 11:00 brunch.
In the afternoon we walked down the beach and looked at other hotels. I boogie boarded for like five minutes but I got a sun-burned stomach so I stopped. Then we drove to Black Rock. Black Rock is a huge black rock in a place called Ka'anapali. It has really good snorkeling. I snorkeled for a while. Then I devoted the rest of my day to build the beachside sand nation of The Democratic Republic of Botsfinkelberg. Then we watched whales and the sunset before driving back to our condo. We had dinner and then my mom, dad and I went to the pool and spa before going to bed.

Sunday March 25th, 2007:
I woke up at 6:45. My sister made me breakfast 'cause my parents had gone to a talk. I didn't do much in th morning except for that I watched the Oregon Ducks basketball game on TV. After lunch with the whole family, we drove to Napili Bay. We went snorkeling, boogie boarding, tanning and we played football in the water. It was my third time snorkeling in the past two days. I saw some sweet fish. Then we came home and had dinner. After that, my mom, sister and I continued the tradition of going down to the pool and spa. Then I... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Two days ago my dad , Chelsea and I drove up to Holland
To visit my cousins and aunt. Yesterday we got to my aunts house.
The day before we stayed with my dads friend, Rutger.
I have had a lot of fun in Germany and Holland and hope everyone is having
fun, too.
It is scary driving over 100 mph on the German Autobahn..., but my dad is a
good driver. He also meet Snoop Dogg in Holland, Amsterdam. I got his VIP
pass.

Just back from a beautiful run, 20 miles, along the Rogue River, from Grave Creek. Lots of beautiful flowers and LOTS of poison Oak... it looks so beautiful. My friend Ben, Rex the dog and I were running for 4 hours. It was surprising- we saw 4 groups of hikers and 3 out 4 of them had a pistol or a rifle. Did not understand what the point was of the guns...otherwise... so beautiful. Hope everyone had a great day. It was clear here but cool.. in the 50's.

Yesterday we drove to the other side of Maui to a place called Hana. We stayed at a friends condo. We are going to the Beach with Madeline and her family and Malita. Remember her? She subbed for Mark a lot last year. She lives in Maui.
Jack, Do you remember Gavin from your baseball team two years ago when you were the Braves? Well, He went to lincoln, but he moved to Maui last year, we ran into him and his mom twice.
I saw three turtles on thursday.
This is just an overview from the past few days, but I have been keeping a journal so when I get back I can show it to you. This is my last post. I fly back to SF tomorrow.

Hap, Niilo and I just got back from Jamaica. It was awesome! The boys cousin got married there and we had 60 people come for the wedding, the biggest they have ever had at the resort. The water was warm, the sand was awesome and the people were great, so friendly!
I went to france, but on spring break I slept.
