Redwoods 2007
What a great weekend in the Redwoods. Share an appreciation or a story from the trip! It was so much fun getting to know everyone and to see the children in such a special place. Looking forward to hearing from parents and kids.

I had a really good time at the Red Woods. I liked catching frogs alot. `We went on a hike that let us see the tallest trees in the world!!! At the end of the hike we got to a beach. I caught 3 frogs. I had one, lost it, caught two more, gave one away, let the other go. two of the ones I caught were brown. the third was black. I liked the black one the most.
The photos are fabulous!!! Well done, Ms. Photographer (who's name I can't remember, sorry!!)... these kids give me so much hope and happiness for the future of this planet- kids YOU ROCK!!! And I came away from the weekend with new breath and inspiration for knowing that 'its all so good' after so many lovely experiences with the children and the adults of this incredible community that is THE BLENDERS! peace, Karin (Liam's mama)
I did not go on the trip this year but I did last year for part of the time. This year I went up to Howard Prairie with my mom and her friend. I went innertubing. I had fun time but it was cold and I almost froze to death.

It was ablast at the redwoods.Iloved it. It was the best. I liked the hike and getting candy. I like to cech frogs.
The Redwoods was awesome much better than last year. I learned to to a 90 degree skid on my bike and i waded across the river that jack and paul waded across last year and i did it 4 times. There was no touch football but thats ok i had a great time anyway. Also fifth grade and french toast are really cool.
When I got to the bridge I went in the water but did not take a swim, so I just got my feet wet when I saw a frog. I got Anna WK, she helped me catch the frog. I got it...for a little wile. My mom wouldn't let me keep it.
I loved the hike, at the end I went to the beach, but my favorite part was the chocolate. The most important was my friends that made it fun.
I had a lot of fun at the red woods.
My dad and sister came. And i likedthe candty that they had.
I liked the red woods a lot. I really liked the hike and tringg to kech the snake.I also liked when me, Amy and Aisha crosted the Smith River.
I had fun catching snakes. I caught a big one.I jumped in and caught it by the tail. After I caught it I let it go. After I let it go, I caught a little one, the same way. And then I caught some frogs.
The caping trip was gruate.I cat wat in tel the neks one.
Liam- I liked playing tag and chase for hours and hours.

I loved everything about the camping trip, the hike, the beach, even the food, but i think the two best things were catching frogs and playing with my friends. Brielle Amy and I were mostly riding bikes. At the talent show on the second night amy and I did a skit from the Harry Potter puppet pals on youtube... it was fun i can not wait until the next camping trip.
Venus : I had so much FUN on the trip my favorite part of the trip was swiming in the ocen and the smith river. The water at the beach was vary salty and it bernd yuour skin. At the smith river the wader was varry cold but vary Fun to swim in. There was a big rock that u could jump off of into the river and it was So much Fun to jump off of. My other favorite part of the trip was giving TAXE rides to people on the back of my bike.
Jarid : My Favorite thing todo at the smith river was jumping in the river off the rock's. I also had fun eating desert at the potloke on the first night. And I loved keching frogs.
I comment Mark and Kathleen for making the camping trip possible it was fun. I really enjoyed being at the Redwoods with all my friends.
The Redwoods were really cool. I really liked climbing trees at the Redwoods too. And the big tree slide was one of my favorite parts. The first time i tried to climb the slide i fell on my back and it really hurt. I liked the Redwoods and i am looking forward to next year!
I want to thank the gnomes for the chocolate. I also thought some gnomes were very naughty.
I did not go on the caping trip. I really wanted to go. but I did get to go to a weding and it was really FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I think that the redwoods were alot of fun. I especialy liked the snake in the water and the marshmellows. but my favorite favorite part was riding hap's bike.

I had a lot of FUN on the camping trip. my favrito part was when I crosted the smith river at the other side there waws warm water and firy catpilers.
This year I really liked the redwoods . Being a fith grader their is not much differant. I really liked the big wars with the differant bases. I think it was much more fun than last year.
On the first day Keira and I did not know what to do until we thought of a game so we went in the tent trailer.
Keira and I played a game when keira was depth and I could here and then Jazmins sister came in to the tent trailer and then we played a game togther and had a party in the tent trailer. And we had a great in the Redwoods. And making new friends is always FUN! And we went to the river.

I liked the french toast in the morning and jumping off the rocks in the Smith River. I made a frog pond in the sand by digging and the hike was very fun!
Brielle Aisha and I crossed the Jedahdiah Smith river It was cold and Aisha fell it was funny. I got to know Aisha more and now we are really good friends.

My name is Jailany and I had fun on the trip to the Redwoods.I think the talent show was the bast part.especially the gnome numbers.
I had really fun at the Redwoods. I really liked swimming in the river. And I liked roasting marshmallows and smores.

I had a great time at the redwoods. I really liked the hike and getting chocolates, although I only got one! I had fun catching frogs. My favorite thing I caught was a salamander, it was pink and had viney stuff hanging off of its gills. My mom caught a crawdad at the river too. I had a fun time.
I liked going down the tree slide. I didn't know that there was an easy way to get there. I didn't even notice it! Instead, I took the hard way. Then Lodin went somewhere I had not even seen before. That turned out to be the easy way to the slide. I also found another short cut for going up toward the easy way. It was alot of fun!
I want to thank everyone for helping Jerrod to have fun at camping. I know he had a great time and we really appreciate all your help.
Six years ago my friend Inger told me about this really cool class her son Soren was in -- the Blenders. When she told me that 50 kids, their parents and brothers and sisters all went to the Redwoods, I knew we had to be a part of this crazy group of people. I definitely prefered the weather this year compared to the rain and snow at Crater Lake! My favorite memory this year was Aylah's magic toad.
hey evryone, i went on a camping trip too and at night it was 18 degrees! yes i know i had to wear 5 layers.. so i read all you coments and i liked them no 2 hand touch football? oh well mambey next time i am haveing a really fun time at the middle school. oh and a message for the 5th garders....... when you get to sixth garde you will have lockers not hooks and you have to rember your locker combo. the lunch is way better..... there is no playground but you can play hand ball 4 square speed ball and yeah. you will have to write alot of papers and then type them. you will not have cool laptops in the class room. you will have to go to the computer room. oh and people who know how to mess with computers like changeing the backround and doing weird sines miles....... yeah you will get in alot of troble so don't do it... ok see ya....
