Eagle Mill Farm Harvest Celebration

I want to say how much Kathleen and Mark appreciated the great day at Eagle Mill Farm on October 8, 2007. It is such a pleasure to see the children being productive, positive and seeing food from the seed to the table. The pizza was yummy! Thanks to Timothy and all the folks at the farm.

Peace and light,

Mark and Kathleen

I really liked the pizza at the farm.
I like to play with the worms. It is fun to harvest there, too.

I liked the farm yesterday it was pretty fun. My favorite parts were eating blackberries, fennel and schucking seeds. It was the last time I will be going to Eagle mill farm as a 2007 fifth grader(maybe). I look forward to going to the farm again next year or later this year. I also remember when madison picked poison something or other and was going to eat it but an adult stopped her. Thats all for now!

Hello humans,
I had a really good time at the farm. There was something different, but I don't know what it was, that made it fun for me.

I had so much FUN at the E.M.F on monday. My favorite part of the trip was eating the yummy PIZZA. The pumpkin muffins were also delicious.
And I was very thankful that the sun was shining.

P.S. It is already late, but my Dad is making me do my homework.

Eagle Mill Farm

It was sunny at Eagle Mill Farm, last week. When we got there we split into groups. One group did math with Mark and Kathleen. That was good. My partners, (Liam) were Sashi and Wyatt. They told me what to do. My partner( Fern) was Gianna.

After we did math, then we did garden work and we ate lunch. We sorted beans ate grapes.

Ps we wondering what they have in store for us next year?

“Yum delicious” Venus said as she plopped a red juicy grape into her mouth.
Meanwhile Loden was peeling beans when Jerrod came along and said“ can I help you" “yes” Loden said. As Loden and Jerrod where peeling the beans Loden blurred out and said “I love star wars” Back in the grape felled. I will get you little grape.

TO BE CONTNUD

Eagle Mill Farm

“Ummmmmmm!” I said with the satisfaction of a pumpkin muffin. “These are good!” The muffins were brown, and when you bit into them you saw little orange specks…I assumed that the orange stuff was pumpkin. They were, like most muffins, in one of those transparent paper things.
I had a great day at eagle mill farm. My favorite parts were lunch…because of the muffins, and peeling beans, and that’s pretty much it. The reason I liked peeling beans was because it was easy and wasn’t gross or any thing. I liked lunch because I was hungry and we didn’t have to do work during lunch. I don’t remember much of it because it was a wile ago.

Hap/Aisha Eagle Mill Farm
10-15-07

Last Monday our class went to Eagle Mill Farm, it was very fun, Hap thought it was it was really hot I, (Aisha ) thought it was very fun to make the food, your probably wondering ‘’What food?’’ but what were talking about is exactly this, almost every other Thursday the Blenders go to the farm and help grow food and pull weeds and more stuff like that and anyway on the last time we get to make pizza and pumpkin muffins.

Yummmm! The pizza was great, scrumdiddlyumpcious, I thought, hap said the pizza was horrible but I disagreed. ‘’Did you even like the muffins?’’ I asked , ‘’are you kitting me? They were worse’’ Hap said. After lunch I went to play with Brielle, Amy and Laeh, we were trying to get Brielle to laugh while she was meditating, it is a game Amy, Brielle and I play a lot, mean while Hap was chopping worms in half to make two different worms. ‘’that’s horrible a1nd crule ‘’ I said ‘’I don’t care’’ ‘’What ever.’’

When the bus came we got on and went back to school. When we got there it was time for lunch , and that was the end of the time we had at Eagle Mill Farm…

The End

Ouch! I guess I should have let the steaming, homemade pizza cool more after taking it out of the oven. I didn’t though, I took a bite and it burnt my mouth. That’s okay, it was worth it, the pizza at Eagle Mill Farm was so tasty. My tastebuds didn’t mind that they got hurt, they were still happy from the awesome first taste.

A poem for you people

The pizza was burnt
At the bottom of the bread
It was black and brown
But there was no red.
Everything else was fine but
The best part was it was all mine.
Umpqua died sad but fair
But his ash’s are still in the air.
There were seeds that grow
And someday they will role
We’d fine them here and there
We would find them anywhere by the farm
But I doubt we would fine them in a barn.
I took the burnt off something the I didn’t know what it was.
Keira said it was fun working in the sun.
That is all for right now
I can’t wait till next fall.

Miles Emily AT eagle mill I really enjoyed the muffins and the pizza that we made and ate. I ate lots of grapes on row 25. On row 25 all the grapes are seedless. I saw the chickens and I wanted to hold them and eat them. I helped make the muffins. When I took the firs bite of those warm tasty muffins I thought they were really good. I also got a tomato that was perfect color, I bit the top of that tomatoes and sucked all the juice out of it then ate the rest. I really enjoyed the time at Eagle Mill Farm, I hope we have the chance to go again.

Hey! River left a comment too!
Dear Mark and Past Blenders,

I just went and looked at the old website and pictures, and I ask, Mark, 'PLEASE DON'T EVER DELETE THAT WEBSITE!!!' It brings back so many memories, and looking at them flooded me with the longing to be back at Lincoln with the Blenders and Barbara and you. I miss this class so much, and wish I could just go back to classes from years ago and visit everyone.

Thanks so much for reading (hopefully you read this Mark),
I miss you all, but AMS is really fun,

Miles here, 10 years later. I wish Mr. Sherbow hadn't deleted the blenders - or let the domain registration/hosting expire, whichever it was. Perhaps some other Blender Alumni will find this comment as well...fragments of our childhood scattered across decade old blogs, funny huh? Lol
